A conference table is the one piece in the office that has to work for the room, the display and the cabling all at once.

Grommets and cable
Grommet position is agreed with the audiovisual contractor before the table is released. Moving one afterwards means a new top, which is the most expensive small mistake available in a furniture package.
Specification
What gets specified
Meeting rooms are quoted room by room, because the table is sized to the walls and the display rather than to a standard length.
- Table
- Length and width set from the room dimension and the clearance behind a pulled-out chair.
- Base
- Panel, trestle or column base, selected against where people need to sit and where legs land.
- Power and data
- In-surface modules and grommets positioned with the audiovisual contractor.
- Seating
- Meeting chairs counted to the table, with the swept clearance checked against the walls.
- Credenza
- Optional buffet or storage sized to the wall and the display mount above it.
- Acoustics
- Where required, panels and soft finishes specified alongside rather than after the fact.
