Lounge furniture takes more abuse than anything else on the floor and is usually specified as though it will not.

Textile and wear
Texture is chosen for how it wears and how it cleans, then for how it looks. A bouclé that photographs beautifully and pills in a year is a false economy the client discovers alone.
Specification
What gets specified
Lounge and pantry are quoted as a group because they share finishes and the same cleaning regime.
- Soft seating
- Sofas, armchairs and benches selected against the traffic the area will actually take.
- Textiles
- Graded-in upholstery with an abrasion rating suited to the setting, not the showroom.
- Occasional tables
- Height coordinated to the seat so a laptop or a cup lands where a hand goes.
- Pantry
- Café-height tables and stools, with surfaces specified to be cleanable rather than delicate.
- Power
- Where people will sit and work, outlets planned into the furniture rather than the wall.
- Rugs and acoustics
- Specified alongside so the area reads as a room, not as leftover floor.
